Cernol Chemicals (Namibia) (Pty) Ltd was established in 1978 and is a fully Namibian owned and managed, SABS ISO 9001:2015 registered manufacturer of formulated chemicals. 48 years on, we are proudly leading the local market with a wide range of formulated products — liquid and powder detergents, degreasers, sanitizers, water treatment and various types of speciality chemicals — and the majority of our formulations are biodegradable.

The word that matters is manufacturer. Unlike an importer or distributor, Cernol formulates and blends its own range at its factory on the corner of Kallie Roodt and Etienne Rosseau Street in Windhoek’s Northern Industrial Area. That means fresh stock without shipping lead times, batch traceability from our own production records, dilution and application advice from the people who actually blend the product — and, where a customer’s job demands it, the ability to adjust a formulation rather than shrug at a data sheet. A small number of specialist agency lines (Ardrox NDT chemistry, Penetone hand cleaners, Vecom marine cleaners) round out the range.

Cernol is part of the SWACO Group of Companies, a Namibian family of businesses that has been on the move since 1933. Around20 Namibians run the operation from theWindhoek factory and sales office, with agents in key towns — including ourWalvis Bay agent minutes from the fishing factories and the port. Between them they supply every economic sector in the country: the mines of the central belt, the export fish factories of the Erongo coast, dairies and breweries, transport fleets on the corridors, laundries, lodges, schools, hostels, hospitals, fire brigades and municipalities.
